From Community Compassion to Sustainable Impact Since 2020
Tanzania Sustainable Livelihood (TASULI) was founded on a simple yet powerful vision: to empower vulnerable communities with the opportunities, knowledge, and resources they need to build sustainable and dignified lives.
Our journey began in 2020 when a group of passionate volunteers, led by our founder Daniel, came together in response to the growing social and economic challenges affecting vulnerable families across Tanzania. Witnessing firsthand the hardships faced by children, youth, women, and low-income households inspired a collective commitment to create meaningful and lasting change within communities.
What started as a small volunteer-driven initiative providing essential support – including clothing, nutrition assistance, and educational resources – soon evolved into a broader mission focused on empowering individuals and strengthening community resilience. Through direct engagement with families and communities, we learned that sustainable transformation requires more than short-term assistance; it requires access to education, economic opportunities, skills development, and long-term support systems that enable people to thrive independently.
As our impact and community reach continued to grow, so did our vision. In 2024, TASULI was officially registered as a non-governmental organization, marking an important milestone in our journey and strengthening our capacity to serve communities more effectively and sustainably.
Today, TASULI implements programs and initiatives that promote education, economic empowerment, health, child well-being, and community development. We are driven by the belief that every person deserves the opportunity to live with dignity, realize their potential, and contribute meaningfully to their community.
From a grassroots volunteer initiative in 2020 to a registered NGO in 2024, our story reflects the power of compassion, collaboration, and a shared commitment to creating sustainable livelihoods and lasting impact across Tanzania.
